Well-designed things allow you to believe they are simple. You feel it in an instant, at your first experience with the thing. You fall in love with it, and there is no need to explain why. The designer is intimate with the complexity within, but has generously presented to you only the elements that you need or care to use.

Craftsmanship and utility essential to good design. Things are beautiful to us when they are built well and they satisfy our needs.
